There is no University Interscholastic League soccer program for boys at the junior high level in HEB. In a district as diverse as ours, that's a missed opportunity. We built Liga HEB to encourage and motivate students who aren't connected anywhere else.
Liga HEB players are held to high performance and behavioral standards. No pass, no play.
UIL athletes are ineligible for this program, leaving it open for students who aren't plugged into their campus.
Athletes represent their school, which in turn develops a sense of pride in that school.
Each team is coached by staff from the school it represents, giving staff a new avenue for developing better students.
Every student in Liga HEB follows a season-long character development curriculum.
Build The League
Liga HEB is growing fast, and we want to include you in the excitement! Anyone can sponsor a single player, but local businesses have the unique opportunity to sponsor a full team! Team sponsors are eligible to have their brand featured on league uniforms or tied to year-end awards, and each will receive exposure through our weekly reports on the league as well as during the championship game.
The 2020 season kicks off in January and will conclude with the Champions Cup Final in April.
There are 126 roster spots in Liga HEB, with additional space for students who don't make the cut but still want to practice with their classmates. Your gift of $65 gives one of these students access to the sport for free!
In-kind donations of soccer balls, shin guards, and other equipment are encouraged. Use the Contact the Commissioner box to inquire about equipment needs for the current season and best practices for donating.
Support a Club!
Matches in Liga HEB are open to the public, and we welcome supporters -- especially for the Champions Cup Match! Use the Contact the Commissioner box to get in touch with us and let us know how you'd like to show your support for our players.
Be a Mentor!
Volunteer as an assistant coach or a personal mentor through programs in HEB ISD. We'll connect you to the school or student; you just have to let us know you're interested! Volunteers will be required to register with the school district.
