What happens when people listen for God's voice in their day-to-day work?  There is a couple who have been organizing the Euless Revitalization renovations over the past year.  Just the other day, a woman approached the couple and said her children are grown and she likes to cook and she'd like to know if there is someone she could help care for within the ER project.

The next day, a woman who is fighting cancer, and who is an ER recipient approached the couple and said she, and her elderly mother, could use some help around the house right now.  As it turns out, the woman who wants to provide help lives just around the corner from the person who needs some help.  God is orchestrating events even when we don't realize it.  And, everyone involved is blessed.

Thanks to Lowe's for donating a Tiller for us to use in the Euless Revitalization project!  And - thanks to the previous ER recipients who are "paying it forward" this weekend!  Many are involved in helping others this year.  One previous ER recipient has volunteered to plow at 10 houses so the soil will be ready for our Volunteer Landscapers on Friday and Saturday.

Congratulations!  The City of Euless provided the volunteers of 6 Stones the "Volunteer of the Year Award."  And, our Pastor recently received a Volunteer Award from the HEB Council of PTAs as well.  We are so thankful for all of you who have offered your time, talent and contributions.  You have made a huge impact in our community.  And, 2010 promises to offer more opportunities.  Way to go!

Our volunteers are the best!

• New Hope Center - provided food, clothing and some furniture to 10,000 HEB residents
• Euless Revitalization - 20 homes renovated and countless lives impacted
• 1st Annual Golf Tournament - which benefited Euless Revitalization
• Back-to-School Festival - backpacks and school supplies provided for 1300 children
• Night of Wonder - hundreds of adopters provided meals and Christmas presents for 1180 children
• Clubhouse Kids - apartment ministry provided fun-filled summer activities for children
