We are blessed to live and work in a school district that has been and continues to be fiscally responsible.  Thanks to good stewardship and strong leadership, HEB ISD doesn’t expect to need to lay off any employees this year, unlike most the school districts in the DFW area as a result of the state’s $15 million education budget crises.  In the last 10 years, HEB ISD staff members have cut costs by turning off lights, using energy efficient bulbs, using rainwater to irrigate playing fields and changing the start time at schools to use fewer buses and less gas.

Strongly consider the district’s history of prudent financial planning as you prepare to vote in the upcoming Bond Election.  Early voting begins on Monday.  Click to learn about the Bond Proposal.  Read more at hebisdbond.com

And, remember to invite all your friends to join us this Sunday night, May 1 for the Community Celebration.  Dr. Gene Buinger, HEB ISD Superintendent, and many other Community speakers will cast their vision and challenge us for the future.
