The Second Backpack
More than half of students in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District qualify for free or reduced lunch. Their families struggle to get by, and school supplies don't usually make the budget. Those students carry more to school than most of us will ever know. They carry a “Second Backpack.”
